Classroom - "Identify & Define"
Introduce & Review Fitness Knowledge
During Fitness session #1, students learn to identify & locate major muscle groups as well as identify and define the 6 fitness areas. We end this session learning more complex uses of the muscular system along with prevention and care of injury. This session is structured around a "whole class" / station model.
Identify & Define Fitness Areas
Abdominal Strength, Core & Balance, Flexibility & Massage, Upper Body Strength, Speed/Agility/Explosive Power, Cardiovascular Endurance
Identify & Locate Major Muscles
Deltoids, Biceps, Triceps, Pectorals, Trapezius, Abdominals, Obliques, Latissimus Dorsi, Gluteus Maximus, Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Gastrocnemius
Identify & Locate Major Bones
Grade 7 & 8
